Six Value Medals Training Seminars

Six Value Medals Training Seminar & Certification Overview

This is what Michael Campbell had to say about this first Six Value Medals in-house workshop: "This was a great opportunity to share what we learned from Dr. Edward de Bono back in October of last year.  It was very satisfying to watch the participants learn about the Six Values and apply them both to their personal lives and our work here at GMAC Insurance.  The feedback from the attendees was very positive, and we are planning another class for March."

Six Value Medals Dates: January 30-31, 2008
Six Value Medals Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Six Value Medals Master Trainer: Michael Campbell, Certified Trainer - HR, Training & Development at GMAC

Excerpt from participants' feedback:

How could [your company] benefit from using Six Value Medals?

"It is going to enhance the customer experience which is one of the primary areas of focus for the company."  -  Joanna Poston

"The Six Value Medals shows that there's uncertainty as to the overall value of [this project idea] - due to the unknown of how it would be received by our independent agents.  The next step is to have a focus group of agents to hear the voice of our customer."  -  Anonymous

What did you learn that surprised you in this particular situation?

"The actual # of negatives which I could feasibly see associated with it and I believe this comes from the perspective from which I am viewing it.  And that would be as a manager of the employees who are going to be directly affected by it.  I personally see this process change as overall a strong positive."  -  Joanna Poston

".....we realized our assumptions were based solely upon our point of view -- not necessarily of the agents.'  -  Anonymous

How do you plan to use Six Value Medals in the future?

"I view this as a great tool that aids in decision making and process changes, which are constant in our business.  It is a very effective way to learn to see things from others' viewpoints and to see all of the various ideas and thoughts that may go into a topic/process.  In order to be an effective leader, it is a necessity to be able to see things from all perspectives and take these opinions, facts, and feelings all into account when making decisions.  It is the only way sometimes to be able to manage through situations."  -  Joanna Poston

"With the projects/programs I'm responsible, we'll be going through this exercise prior to making significant changes in the way we approach our decision."  -  Anonymous

How did using the Six Value Medals benefit you and your organization in you project?

"...It can only benefit an organization to have its employees feel that their ideas are being taken into consideration, and I believe that the Six Value Medals can do just that.  It makes each person feel valued.  And in the long run, if the Value Medals are truly taken into consideration and weighed out, it seems that most of the time it can only serve to make the organization a more productive, positive, and successful environment.  And that is a definite Strong Positive Silver Value Medal!!!!!"  -  Joanna Poston

"We won't invest significantly into developing a program without first understanding if there is a value/need for it (rather than investing first and figuring it out afterward!)."  -  Anonymous
